Zdravei,

Standartnata funkcia chroot(), koiato pravi sistemno obrushtane (system call) 
smenia root direktoriata na daden proces(i se unaslediava negovite child 
procesi). Ako se smeni root na daden proces na "/safe" i tozi proces se opita 
da otvori fail "/tmp/X", to shte se otvori "/safe/tmp/X". Procesat ima dostup 
samo do filove po-nadolu v durvoto na failovata sistema ot svoiata root 
direktoria. Tova se izpolzva chesto ot gledna tochka na sigurnostta. Ako si 
izvikal chroot("/tmp"); uspeshno, to tvoia proces shte ima dostap samo do 
/tmp i po-navurte v ierarhiata.

Komandata chroot vika chroot() i sled tova exec()'va nikakva programa. 
Ponezhe root na procesa se unaslediava to programata ima root zadadena 
direktoria.
