kojto beshe na 2.2.neshto si
wchera updatenahme XXX na 2.4.7
az sym na 2.4.7 ot kakto izleze
no otkakto XXX e na 2.4.7 stawat problemi...
na clienta(moqta mashina) mi dawa towa postoqnno...

Trond suggested that it might routers who are not passing on UDP
fragments. I checked this: the packets are going through the same
hardware, just on different VLANs. And again: I don't have this
problem on 2.2.17 or earlier.
Changing the route on the server to the other interface does solve the
hang on the client side.
