Пробвайте да добавите в Device секцията:
Option "AllowGLXWithComposite" "true"

При мен става така:

Section "Device"
    Identifier  "GFORCE"
    Driver      "nvidia"
    Option "AllowGLXWithComposite" "true"
    #VideoRam    65536
    # Insert Clocks lines here if appropriate
EndSection

. . . и работи :)
